Me...Myself
WATCHED this yesterday with the usual suspects. i actually have mixed reviews on this as i had high expectation on this movie. however, i think it was a bit let down for me. the story is simple, a bit draggy the first hour and managed to pick up the pace abt 20 minutes towards the end. also i wish that 'uncle Tan' impact in the story to oohm and family/work before he regain his memory is subtantial enuff to show the audience that he is significantly invaluable to them and very very special.
self rating:6.5/10
Over the weekend
I dont normally read or buy Malay newspaper on weekend as i think it is full of malaysian artists gossips and boring things. however as i was in my home town with my family and my parents bought the pancaindera hiburan yesterday, so i kinda flipped through it while lazying in front of the tele.
and there it was this woman reporter interviewing anuar zain on his new album. gosh! can the reporter leave it alone by now??? one full page of this. ummmm i said this is very very interesting! y not so i read the whole page!!!
honestly, as anuar said, money is not an issue. y if RM100,000.00, salah ker. banyak sangat ker? what if RM500,000.00??? membazir ker? seriously please leave him at that la. doing sumthing that u like cant be rate by money la. and him choosing indonesian composer..hey please dont let me start.
as i have said previously in my earlier entry on Anugerah Era i think, we malaysian, especially the people in the music industry to just wake up and please do sumthing. come on!! an indonesian song won the category for staying the longest in a music chart of a local radio!!! helow!!! y???? an indonesian group and obviously their album were done by indonesians composer and musicians!!!!
and i dont blame them. i also love Samson, i think they have really a good album and the hit song 'kenangan terindah' is definately one of my fav.
and my point is, we cant deny that indonesian composers have a different style and unique song approach and creativity. so, should we support the industry or should we let it die because of where these composers were born is nowhere in the malaysians geography and/or jurisdsction.
sumtimes if i watch melody on sunday at tv3, they showed our local artist got very angry and being vocal to some agents or middle men or entertainment agency who brought in all this too many overseas singers and group to do concerts here. this local artist gone 'amuk' of y we malaysian/government ker are too relax by letting them (oversean singers and talent) to be marketed in our country.
let me tell u all local artist out there, if u are confident that ur music is global enuff to be sold abroad than by all means, please go ahead and spread ur wings! i think our Siti Nurhaliza has done her part. she is big in indonesia, singapore and am sure brunei too. am proud of her. she managed to be recognised and bring her album and music abroad, using i guess both local and indonesian composers...no one say a word on this. no one make an issue.
please la people...i guess it is time to take ur music whenever u want to take it. support our local artist!!! support their album. not condemning them in every way that u could find, re composers, the value of the album, the money the artist spent on each song...y take indonesians composers instead of the locals. ayo!!!! kita masih berada di takuk lama nampaknya. terlalu mempersoalkan benda benda yang remeh.
whoever anuar wants to pick for his album, let him be. am sure he knows wat he is doing and his fans will surely support his decision in this. i am for one. true as he said, doesnt mean that the local composers are not good, y we malaysian always think negative and the other side of the fence, it seriously baffles me till this day.
somtimes we have to wake up and realised that the competition is big.
we should applaud tho those who willing to exceed their limits and boundaries.
again anuar, aja aja fighting!

ANUAR ZAIN
PEOPLE OUT THERE!!!
for anuar zain's fans, this new album is a MUST! for non-anuar zain's fan, maybe its time to get the original new album by him which is self titled this time and listen to it while driving and stuff, u might be the next fan of him...
10 new songs in a package. as an avid fan, after waiting for years for this album, i deserve to make some comments and reviews. also this is my blog and i can just say whatever i want right?
the cover of the album, ummmmm its surely not the best thing that i like abt the album. i dont know y. it just doesnt work for me (in janice dickinson tone). the best pic i think is the pic where anuar on the chair wearing white shirt and jeans in the inlay of the cover laughing away. thats more relax, more natural take of him which i like. simple. nice.
but come to songs.... the best part of it all. i still tak dengar betul2 on 'kau bunga cintaku' and 'jangan pernah lagi' (fast songs) but i think i prefer the fast songs in his previous album more..like 'bila resah'..;-)
for the rest of it, all 8 songs are very very good quality and anuar has managed to bring his singing to the next level i must say. 'hanya milikmu' makes me wana cry everytime i listen to it and the arrangement are superb. 'lelaki ini' is also a good song together with ketulusan hati which many many of my friends have chosen it as a fav.
overall review, it is a must have item for this september 2007 and kudos to anuar zain. its good for his fans especially, after tunggu lama for an album, and the singer can come out with a good album and a quality one at that.
i have transfer all songs to my phone so that i can listen to it whenever..;-)
to anuar zain, a toast for u tonite! hpfully this album would be a success!

Headlines in New Straits Times Today
PETALING JAYA: The only thing police have on her is her picture in death. And while the authorities are trying to discover her identity, public outrage is growing at the sadistic killing of this child.
A bouquet and a soft toy are left where the girl's body was found.
Even the police are appalled at the circumstances leading to her death and have more questions than answers.
- Where are her parents?
- Why was the child separated from her parents?
- Why hasn't anyone come forward to claim her body?
- Was she homeless?
- Was her disappearance ever reported?
Police are now sifting through files of children reported missing in the past several weeks. The file search has been extended to police stations in surrounding states.
The victim is aged between 8 and 10, is 150cm tall, fair skinned, weighs 18kg, has curly short hair, a sharp nose and a birth mark on her left thigh.
The child's naked body was found stuffed in a foetal position inside a gym bag on Monday morning. The bag was left in front of a shoplot in PJS 1/48.
The assailant(s) had been thorough. The child's body was wiped clean of evidence. The gym bag was new.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed said a post-mortem conducted by the Kuala Lumpur Hospital showed that the girl died of an infection.
Her intestines had ruptured after foreign objects were forced into her private parts. There was no trace of semen.
Arjunaidi said bruises on her body suggested that she was tortured before she died.
Police are trying to identify several people captured by closed-circuit television cameras near the shop where the bag was left.
It is also learnt that they are studying images of a woman walking down a staircase where the bag was left and entering a car driven by another person.
Arjunaidi appealed to those with information on the case to contact the nearest police station immediately.
Police have not ruled out the possibility that a serial molester, known as the "Kampung Baru molester", may have progressed to murder and is behind this barbaric act.
Two girls, aged 5 and 6, were similarly tortured by this man recently, with foreign objects forced into their private parts.
They were approached separately by a man on a motorcycle who asked their help in locating his missing cat.
The girls were taken away and molested and reports stated that they, too, had foreign objects, forced into their private parts.
Following the two incidents at the Kampung Baru area in the past three months, police had set up a task force to hunt down the culprit, but so far their efforts have failed.
Incensed by the two incidents, residents in the area had formed vigilante groups to hunt down the suspect, but their efforts were also fruitless.

This is a sad news to read. how could this happened?
i am still in shock. there is no way we can tell human capabilities. do not underestimate. at the end of the day, no human can commit this crime...

Another fav song by Rain..
Translation in English:-
Today I met you by chance
That person who I had heard about
Was there with you
I was so surprised
Because there was a smile on your face
A smile that had never been there
when you were with me
I guess I seemed pathetic to you
So lonely and sad
There were tears in my eyes
So you asked me
Why I was crying, why I was so sad
I tried to lie to you
But when I saw you looking at me
I couldn't help myself
All the words that were in my heart
They just spilled out
Going to bed alone, waking up alone
eating meals alone, I can't get used to that
Liking something alone
Feeling sad alone
I can't get used to that, I cant get used to that
Even now if I think of you, tears fill my eyes
Enough time has passed
For me to forget about you
So why can't I forget you
After all this time
There was a time before we met
When I lived alone
I tell myself I'll try to go back to that time
But then all I see is an empty space
That you have left
Going to bed alone, waking up alone
eating meals alone, I can't get used to that
Liking something alone
Feeling sad alone
I can't get used to that, I cant get used to that
Your Life Path Number is 4 |
Your purpose in life is to build your vision. You are practical and responsible. You work hard, knowing that there are no shortcuts in life. You work for a better life for yourself and those you love, but you are not an idealist. Trustworthy and honest, you also demonstrate great courage. People can count on you. In love, you are a loyal and committed partner. You are the ideal spouse. You don't give up easily, and sometimes you can be too stubborn and unwilling to change. You also can be too conservative at times. You sometime miss out on good opportunities. Also remember that not everyone can work as hard as you, as disappointing as that is! |

The weekend..
FINISHED Goong S! somehow i was suprised at the end. as ive reviewed before, compared to Princess Hours, Goong S is way behind in terms of my rating. true, at the beginning of the story you kinda feel a bit lost. but towards the end, the storyline falls into places and the ending were carefully written and executed! bravo! love Kang Do at the end. love the part where it shows that he can at the end do what he loves and still defy his father on what he believes. he managed to be what he wants to be.
but for Seven, i seriously a bit frustrated on his character. when the dayang left, he just gave up and didnt go and search for her. and when she came back, yeah he was suprised but thats it! u dont feel the strong love and connection that he is supposed to have with her. i so dont feel the reunion part! bummber!!!! its a bit anti climax in sense of their first true love kinda thing...
in Princess Hours, i think its more obvious how the love blossoms between the parties and people dig for hate turn love stories. in goong S, there is no such hate turn to love.....for Kang Do it was love at first sight for him and for Seven, the dayang is probably his childhood sweetheart. so it was less exciting i guess...
the same formula i think works for Full House. how Rain and Song Hye Gyo hated each other at first then by the creativity of the writer. the finally fall in love and try to protect each other the best they could.
love prevails!!!

At last.....
First Single: Lelaki ini - Anuar Zain
Kasih, kenanganku
Ingatkah saat saat dulu
Kasih, apakah dirimu
Merasakan semua itu
Ke mana pun langkahku pergi
Ku masih melihat bayanganmu cintaku
Dan ke mana pun arah anginku berlari
Hati ini masih kau miliki
Lelaki ini yang selalu mencintamu
Selalu, tanpa ragu
Lelaki ini yang selalu memuja
Hanya dirimu
Yang bertakhta dalam sanubariku
Sanubariku
Aku yang mencintakanmu
Hanya dirimu…
Karena cintaku, tak berbatas waktu
Karena cintaku, tak mengenal jenuh hatimu
Hatimu…

Current watch
Yapuseyo!
There are 20 episodes all together in Goong S and i have finished the first 5 episodes. i think the main actor, Seven is a so-so actor and i think he is a better singer/performer than an actor. but i like kang doo, the other prince...we shall see. but at times he tries so hard thus resulting to a bad acting.
i have watched the first Goong, Princess Hours and i think its way better than this Goong S Prince Hours. no wonder the rating for Goong S in Seoul was very low compared to Princess Hours. i think the main reason is because the script was poorly done and the suprise and the funny part fails to reach the audience. the props are great, as great as princess Hours and the story line so far make sense and straight forward and yet to be complicated. but how i wish the essense of cuteness and humuor are captured more as potrayed in Princess Hours. however, i applaud the senior casts, the 'pyar' and the 'maharani', they are all great actors. i also think the set of casts (the 4 people) for Princess Hours are more compatible and better actors compared to Prince Hours sumhow.
I mean the success of Goong Princess Hours are undeniably great. the cast were superb and Prince Shin Gun, managed to carry his part as a snobbish and royal prince well for a first time actor. not to mention Prince Yul, he is attractive and cute in his own personal way which makes the audience pray the he is the one who will end up being the King instead of Shin Gun, hahahahaha..love love love it! the script was also great despite the dragging part by lets say sumwhere at 18-22 (episode).
overall the soundtrack for Princess Hours are way way better than the Prince Hours so far. i cant wait for the other 15 episodes. hpfully i wouldnt end up feeling frustrated!
aja aja!!!!
Wishing you a Blessed Ramadhan!
MARHABAN YAA RAMADHAN
Assalaamu'alaikum wr.wb..
Marhaban ya Ramadhan,
Bulan dimana nafas Kita menjadi tasbih, tidur Kita menjadi ibadah, amal Kita diterima Dan do'a Kita di ijabah,
Sungguh cantik kain plekat, dipakai orang pergi ke pekan.
Puasa Ramadhan semakin dekat, silap Dan salah mohon dimaafkan
Berharap padi dalam lesung, yang Ada cuma rumpun jerami,
Harapan hati bertatap langsung, cuma terlayang di sini.
Sebelum cahaya surga padam, Sebelum hidup berakhir,
Sebelum pintu tobat tertutup, Sebelum Ramadhan datang,
Saya mohon maaf lahir Dan bathin....
Taqqobalahu Minna Waminkum, Taqoballahu Ya Karim,
Marhaban Ya Ramadhan
Allaahumma baariklanaa if Sya'ban WA ballighnaa Ramadhan
Aminn.
" Do'a Malaikat Zibril Menjelang Ramadhan "
"Ya Allah tolong abaikan puasa ummat Muhammad, apabila sebelum memasuki bulan Ramadhan dia tidak melakukan hal-hal yang berikut:
* Tidak memohon maaf terlebih dahulu kepada kedua orang tuanya (jika masih Ada );
* Tidak berma'afan terlebih dahulu antara suami istri;
* Tidak berma'afan terlebih dahulu dengan orang-orang sekitarnya.
Maka Rasulullah pun mengatakan Amiin sebanyak 3 kali. Dapat Kita bayangkan, yang berdo'a adalah Malaikat Dan yang meng-amiinkan adalah Rasullullah Dan para sahabat, Dan dilakukan pada Hari Jum'at.
kepada kawan kawanku semua,
SELAMAT MENUNAIKAN IBADAH PUASA
SEMOGA KITA DAPAT MENJALANKAN IBADAH PUASA DENGAN OPTIMAL, AAMIN.

Last Weekend...
WATCHED anugerah era on saturday nite...where can i begin?
i think that the performance was okay as it varies, from rock to pop to tradisional and so on. one thing for sure, unforgettable performance for that nite is non other than Anuar Zain's, singing 'Lelaki Ini'...still i would say he has the best vocal to sing this song...go anuar! cant wait to go and buy ur album. i might and go buy today!
OGY singing that song..i dont know men...she scares me.
kerispatih was okay tho i expect it to have more zassss feeling to it. diddy was okay but i really fail to see Nikki's singing at the background shrieking like errrr, i so dont want to say the word...overall, she on the stage, so unnecessary.
i also think fara AF has lost it. but to MILA, u go gurl, with 2 awards she proves that she can do it and all the smses me and my frens sent for AF final seems worth the time and money.
but 2 things i wana point out. the winner for carta era is samson's song kenangan terindah. hey im a big fan of the song, love love the song. but what im trying to say is that this should be a wake up call to the music industry and the artist. carta era means its a malaysia radio station which being aired maybe to brunei and indonesia and singapore (i am not sure)but still an indonesia group won ...ie. the most popular song on the chart...!!!!! seriously??? i dont know men, its just weird...i tot mawi would win or sumthing, or CT for that matter, but an indonesian group? come on la.
and the last award, the most downloaded song by hotlink- from this group which the song i have never heard...*Sigh*
seriously seriously???
Managed to finished my korean series "save the last dance' for the third time around...talk about destiny? *sigh* but love love the series...very de drama, makes me cry...sob sob..but worth the time ;-)

occay!!!
and this morning a head hunter gave me a ring...errr....occay!!!

BABEL
I know am a bit out of the loop in the movie industry, however, i have just watched it last weekend (FINALLY!!!) and i must say on the contrary from what ive heard from the verbal reviews, BABEL is actually a good movie to watch as it is kinda different. i recommend this to anyone to watch for a weekend past time!

Mommy's Cooking!
WENT back to kampung last weekend for the Merdeka hols. reached home at abt 3am...damn!!! reached home sweet home and to my little peach room. then my dad said "if you are hungry, there is some mee sup kat dapur"...ummmm, i didnt reply anything tho (cuma dalam hati said ummm i shall check it out once i mandi). i changed and went to the kitchen and found out that my dad had panaskan already the sup for me...later he said "good nite am off to sleep" ;-)
*SIGH* dad always managed to make me love him more each day....
last week when i said that im coming back for hols, my dad already asked me what i wana eat...so i gave my list so that he can buy all that before the hols as the market closes on public hols...then this weekend, mommy cook all my fav dishes, my nasi ayam, my ikan patin masak tempoyak (the best ever!!!!), my prawns, my sotong masak pedas/sambal like and sup daging. i can only eat my mom's sup daging somehow, they are the best! yum yums...*SIGH*
all i can say is that there is NOTHING like your mom's cooking. the secret...? i would say is the love that mom's put in when they prepare the dishes. mom would cook sumthing that you like, closest to what your heart desires. u can somehow feel the love in the cooking. crazy? nope i dont think so...;-) coz i feel it each time when mommy cook!!! yums!!!
should i move back to my parents' place?
